Ernest aged 32 married Gladys Blanche Brooks in 1918 in Mathinna, Tasmania.
Ernest worked as a labourer.
Ernest and Gladys lived in Mathinna their whole lives and had at least 7 children.
Ernest died in 1964 and is buried in Mathinna cemetery with Gladys.
Thomas Nicholas Saunders c 1853 - 1923 married Eliza Smith at Avoca in 1879 & he died at Deloraine. His daughter Elizabeth Jane married Richard Hodgetts, son of Albert who married Harriet Jane Reynolds. Could my Thomas N Saunders be the Male child born to Robert & Ann Saunders?

Robert and Ann Saunders
•Child of above Elizabeth Martha Saunders married William Reynolds in Deloraine.

•Child of above Richard Hodgetts married Elizabeth Jane Saunders

If this is the case Richard and Elizabeth were cousins which I have found is very common in the Saunders family.
Thomas N Saunders is in all the right places moved to Fingal around 1880 when the other Saunders siblings did then back to Deloraine where his possible sister was living with her husband.
It could very well be we just need to find evidence maybe the marriage certificate, or better still a birth record, may give some answers. I found that on Elizabeth Martha Saunders marriage certificate her sister was a witness.

One of Ernest Saunders/Gladys Brooks children was my grandmother Irene Kathleen Saunders. Nan married Kenneth Maxwell Ackerly and had three children Wayne, Lynette and Jill. Lynette is my mother. Hope this is of help. Cheers

I use to stay with your Grandmother Irene and grandfather Keith when I would holiday in Tasmanina with my nan and Pa. I was wondering if you had any photos of your great grandmother, Gladys Brooks?
